Sean P. Maher

I am an ecologist and biogeographer  working on a variety of taxa and systems, with a central theme of understanding the biolgoical and environmental interactions that limit species' occurrence.

I am moving to a new post-doc position at UC Berkeley in March, where I'll be working on some questions from the Grinnell Project.  Should be a very exciting research project with some excellent people.

Jake Esselstyn, Rafe Brown and I have a paper discussing different processes that may mediate the diversity of Crocidura in the Philippines.  It was a fun collaboration that uses simulation, evolutionary analysis, and niche modeling .
